Front Wings

Dunno, possibly not much, I didn't buy them

Doors

Loads, the stock ones weigh a ton

Bonnet

Bugger all. Maybe a kilogram or two if your lucky

Rear Hatch

Again, quite a lot, even with the glass and spoiler fitted there is a very noticeable difference in weight

I'm afraid I've no actual figures for comparison, but trust me, the doors and boot are considerably lighter than stock. I keep meaning to pop into a weighbridge to see what the Supe comes in at with these parts, but it's kinda low down on the list of stuff to do

The doors are easily 30kg+ each with the side impact protection...

The wings won't be much lighter than stock, it'll be less than 1kg for the pair. Probably be able to measure it in grams!

You can drop 20kg with a CF bootlid and lexan window easily too.

Bonnet will not save much. The Varis one we do is 7.9kg, so saves nearly 4kg over stock.

I have seen quoted figures of 52% front 48% rear, but never seen them on the scales, more like 53% 47% best, nor have I found a stock TT as light as the specs cite :)

:yeahthat:

The figures I've seen were this:

"Handling was well tuned due at least in part to good weight distribution. The 2JZ-GE had 51% of its weight up front and 49% to the rear whereas the 2JZ-GTE 53% of its weight up front and 47% to the rear"

Curb Weight:

2JZ-GE 3210 lb 1460 kg - Targa Roof + 40lbs / AT +55 lbs

2JZ-GTE 3505 lb 1580.9 kg - Targa Roof + 40lbs / AT +10 lbs

Obviously these will not account for a tank of fuel...

Using those figures as a reference would mean you would need to move roughly 47kg from the front, to the back on a TT car.

Regards,

Gaz.

Moving 47kg to the rear would be difficult but not impossible i reckon.

I would imagine a good start would be moving the battery to the rear perhaps an aluminium rad, carbon fibre bonnet - actualy thinking about this it poses a new question would you loose this weight if you went with a single tub?

This could be turning into an expensive project lol,
