hi guys...

My supe has 18 Inch Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 Tires 235 40 18's

and i have no idea how much pressure to put in them....they are at 38 all round at which to me sounds like way to much....

Any ideas i've been looking everywhere for a recomended psi but no luck....

well the way i did it was people said about this -10% pf the max psi thing...

the max is 44 so -10% would be 39.6 ....so its at 38,,,is this true or just nonsence?

Don't think I'd trust that method for road use.

It appears to be some fudge factor for running tyres for track use where the max sidewall indicated pressure won't be exceeded, so pre-race the tyres are inflated to within 10% of that figure. This is done cold, and as the tyre heats up it increases in pressure..... to something like the max safe pressure.

Probably too high for road use. You should be able to tell by measuring the wear with an accurate tread depth guage. Even wear = the right pressure

I've put 36 psi all round over the last 7 years...feels good.

I'm on 18's and use kumhos too.
