Just about to change my HKS BOV for a Tial replica, and I'm thinking of welding a flange directly to the throttle body, ( i already have the trac control butterfly removed and welded up so there is room and its nice and neat) now i have always thought that its better to have a BOV nearer the TB due to the amount of reversion that takes place when its near the turbo, and also being 50mm as opposed to the 25-30mm of the HKS it should be more effective? so what are your opinions? discuss, anyone else have a similar set up?

I was under the impression that it should be as close to the throttle body as possible for response. So the standard location is about as bad as it gets because it's so far away from the throttle body?

Yes thats what i always thought, plus the fact that the std outlet is so small, its no surprise that you get compressor stall even with a decent BOV in that position,
I am also interested to know just what the Tial type sounds like, could be rather nasty for all i know, done some searching for sound clips, but all the ones i have found sound different to each other:blink:
