Jump starting the supra

I'd be very reluctant to jump start a Supra, there have been numerous people who've had electrical gremlins after doing it. Best to remove the battery and put it on charge for a good few hours, then take it out for a 20 minute drive to get it fully charged.

The other option (If you keep it in a garage) is to leave it on a trickle charger all the time.

Here's a few being tested, a couple of years old but it gives you an idea.

Ive got 4 of those Halfords power packs at work, there all fine and some ive had for 3 years. excellent value, but never used one on a supra. Only problem i had was when trying to start a transit van and it wasnt up to it.

Went to halfords and they said they didnt keep anything powerful enough to start a 3litre, there jump starters only went upto 2.5 litre engines. Think i will have to borrow some leads and start it directly from another car.

I use the Clarke one in the bottom of the advert excellent piece of kit had to start soop twice now with it as she has been left for couple of months at a time, absolutely no problems starting a three litre, but to be honest its been more use starting other peoples cars great for rescuing damsels in distress in car parks :D

IIRC i found machine mart was best price for this one.

I've been in the same boat, when you've not driven it for a while.

I had it jump started profeshionally by RAC, and they let the batt charge for 20-30mins before jump starting it. They said it was the best way for that kind of car. Or else you can blow all the fuses. :D
