This product is Defi's full-scale Head Up Display adopted from Defi's priginal V.S.D. technology based on the Defi-Link Display. This product was developed on the concepts of multi-function and ease of operation in motor sports.

MAIN FEATURES

- High visibility display by adopting V.S.D.technology(super high bright VFD)
- The brightness is adjusted automatically.(Sensor is included in the product.)
- Two super high brightness LED indicators.
- The structure of the installation stay allows angle adjustment.
- The control unit lights up at night.
- Displays speedometer and tachometer.
*By connecting to the Defi-Link System, various information is displayed.

*Blow Defi-Link Display VSD CONCEPT and sensors need to be connected to Defi-link Control Unit II or Defi-Link control Unit.

*Data on boost and intake manifold pressure cannot be displayed.

- Indicates warning for not only the displayed information but also the information which is not displayed.
- Warm-up display(for water temperature or oil temperature)
- A terminal to read out the water or oil temperature
- A terminal to connect Defi-Link Meter
*Information other than Speed and engine speed is not displayed if Defi-Link Display VSD CONCEPT is not connected to Defi-Link System.

So does this unit work as a stand-alone item or do you need all the other Defi gubbins as well?
Anyone on this BBS already got one of these Defi HUD units? I'd like to hear some impartial opinions.

Also how much would I be looking at for a Defi Boost gauge and whatever else is needed? What's the other gauge most folks fit wth a boost gauge?, I can't remember right now, it's late :p

I am going to be putting one of these trick units along with a load of other Defi gauges, link deisplay etc in my R33 so will let you know more when it is all installed etc!

It taps onto the Defi Control Unit VII.

You need a minimum of defi sensors (not neccessarily the guages) to get info to the HUD.

EGT Guage is the one your think of ;)

No one has this at the moment, its a brand new item. Mid'life for one had the previous version.

Sounds a lot nicer than a thousand guages which I don't really want to stick in every corner of the car.. :)

Can you get a sensor pack or something with all the sensors you're likely to want? Thinking EGT, oil/water temp.. and I'm sure I'm missing something I want.

If such a pack exists, how much is it? How much for individual sensors?

Why can't it display boost?

Gaz, could you also let me know the prices for Defi Boost Gauge, EGT gauge, egt probe kit (whatever the gauge needs to work) and the gauge door pillar pod thing please ?

They probably sell too many boost guages, and these 'all in one' type kits would eat too much of their market. I'd imagine boost would have to be their most popular single guage. Products like this are just trying to corner the rest of the market - people like me who aren't willing to spend a grand on guages but would still like to know the information.

Ho hum. I'll definitely be looking at something like this after next payday :D
