Not mine but the brother in laws, he is in money trouble at the moment so he has moved back home with mummy and daddy so we need to rehome the cat as soon as possible.

Its a female, full persian, about 8 years old in great health, she is lovely and massive and very friendly.

Must be a good home and must be able to take her quickly as she is there on her own at the moment.

She is based in Skelmersdale but willing to meet up with someone to sort it :)

I dont have a picture but she is this colour, just bigger

We would love to take the cat off your hands, Diane has been pestering me to get a cat for ages. Just the distance to fetch her would be a problem.

If its possible to meet someplace in between then we can offer her a great pet loving home.

Hi,

My brother in law does travel around a bit with his job so i can ask him but i think he's working in sheffield the next few days.

Where are you thinking of as i live in lancaster but if it means she gets a good home i dont mind traveling a bit :)

Your other option is to approach the local old fogeys warden assisted places. I assume its a house animal. My mrs cat went to a nice caring old lady in a warden assisted place as company for the old dear despite it being quite an old animal. That was a white haired fluff ball persiany thing. Ideal for the giffers as it lols about all day, looks cute and is easily managed.

I am pretty much open to where we meet, obviously closer to home the better.

PM me with some locations that may help and I will check out the map and see what we can arrange

If Jarl cant do it then if you can double check to make sure he would take her 100% as i really need to get her rehomed.

Many thanks

You didn't mention if it was a long haired Persian or not - this could make all the difference for someone taking it on as they need to be prepared for the work in looking after it grooming wise. Also any Persian needs their eyes done every other day to stop them from crusting up with gunk and staining - best way is a mild diluted shampoo on a face cloth or tissue after picking off any solid bits, then dry. If there's staining then use boric acid powder on a cotton bud and blow away / wipe off any excess.

They're great pets with laid back natures, usually happiest to sit on your lap and be petted. They also turn into kittens now and again, scrambling about chasing random objects 'til they tire themselves out. They also need litter trays indoors which will need cleaning at least twice a day - Persians really are not outdoor cats and would quite happily wonder in front of an oncoming artic or get completely mauled by the neighbourhood moggies!! They really aren't streetwise and are quite thick, they also aren't too hot at jumping.

Who was the breeder mkirby? What's the cat's GCCF registered name with Prefix? Often you'll find the breeder will be only too happy to take the cat back and rehome it to a home they're happy with - Persians really aren't for anyone!

Cheers,

Brian.

Hi Brian

She's a long haired persian and loves to be brushed ;) yes there a bit thick but usually very friendly, like you say there happiest lazing on your knee lying flat out on her back :D (hussy)

He does have her pedigree, a breeder from leigh near wigan used to breed them, i originally bought one from them but when the wife got pregnant we decided to give her to the inlaws and they loved her that much that ofter a coupple of years they bought another one from them ie Sally the one thats on offer :) unfortunately i think the lady died who bred them so not an option to ask them :(

Its looking like i may have a home for her, i have 2 people from here offering to giver her a home so fingers crossed :)

Many thanks for all the advice and interest
