fitting speedo dial - help

Hi all got a new speedo face for my supra with mph and km on it, what i want to know is, if i remove the speedo with the ingition of, take it in the house, remove the clear plastic cover, can i slide my new speedo face around and over the needle? (speedo face is pretty bendy) then re fit it, with the ingition of. Will this be ok to do??

Thats what I did when I fitted my glo dials. No problem at all.

 

Just make sure that you dont hit the fuel gauge needle, 'cos that one doesn't reset its self!;)

 

Do you'd advise doing this with a full tank then? My fuel gauge doesn't read correctly anyway, maybe this is why??
