Reg Transfer Advice

Hi I am looking to transfer the reg plate from my Clk over to my Supra and vice versa.

I have all the documents etc but I'm not sure how it will work?
Will I have to pay the transfer fee twice?

I tried phoning the DVLA in Glasgow but they are all mutants so any advice would be great,cheers

Think it's £80 per car. So yeah I reckon pay twice.
