Guest sodbuster Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 Hi there, Ive been looking up previous threads to try and source my current problem, but to no avail. When driving my 1995 NA auto over bumpy roads, it sounds like my wheels are wobbling lose or there is play in my suspension with "bangs or bumps". I have taken the wheels off and have had a close inspection, but have found nothing obvious. If somebody else has had similar problems or has any ideas, id appreciate it if you could tell me what the cause of the problem was/could be! Fanks! Suprash Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 I had a banging or thumping sound from my front passenger wheels once, promptly before it decided to depart the car on a motorway once.........wheel nuts came loose but Im sure this aint your problem so I'll shut up...... So im assuming it must be the wheel asembly or other parts within that area? danny_silva Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 my other car had a banging noise coming from the front.. it was a lower wishbone!! everytime i and to pass a speed bump... it can be the same for you.. jack the car up a check.. its my guessing!! good luck! Well the car has done 44,000 miles BIMTA verified, with everything being spotless underneath. But 12 or so years of supra driving must take it's toll on sumthing right? merckx Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 I wouldn't start replacing suspension components yet, it could cost a fortune by the time you've found the worn/broken part. Altho ive solved many other problems myself thanks to this forum! I bet the big cats at toyota have lost a fortune in labour thanks to people like you helping us out!
