Good bodyshop recommendation in the South?

Hi all,

Can someone please recommend a good bodyshop in the south?

I'm near Bracknell. Basically the previous owner had a coat of lacquer sprayed on the front right panel (for some unclear reason) which didn't stick on properly because "it was cold outside"... Funny thing is that the panel itself has a quite big gap from the bonnet, looks like it's been removed and refitted a bit hasty. He never mentioned an accident... Anyway, the result is that the paint (the car is silver) looks very dull, like if there was a matt film on top of it. He told me that it would be alright if I had the panel "mopped".

I've been trying to get some info about mopping but it's still a little bit unclear if that's going to solve the problem or I need to get the panel resprayed entirely. Could someone share some insight on where I could bring the car to?

Thanks :)

GVN in Chiswick are highly regarded here and have turned out some incredible Supra's, however they are not exactly cheap.

There is also a bodyshop next to Pheonix in Watford that a few have used. My old car went in there for a spuce up and came out looking like new, they did 'proper' machine mop and painted a few panels.

I think they charge around £250 for a full mop and polish. You would need to do some waxing afterwards as they don't fully detail cars.

Cheers Homer, I'll try the one next to Phoenix

Specialised paintwork in calcot/reading just off Junc 12 are very good. They spray all the porsches from the main porsche dealer around the corner and they are the lotus approved bodyshop so get all the smashed lotuses from the midlands.

The cars they work on say it all (aston martins, lambos etc etc).

They are far from cheap, but they are very very good.
