window trim removel

hi, i am trying to remove the window trim and refit it. theres a big gap starting half of the trim until the rear quarter window. I have took off the screws behind the rubber, but i still cant move the trim,

do i have to remove the rear quarter window as well? or is there other screws hidden somewhere? any help would be much appreciated

Mines the same, anyone? (since respray, i also used to have wind deflectors clipped in)

There are also clips holding the trim on, you do not need to remove the rear quarter window. They should just pry of with a bit of persuasion

I can't remember but they hold the trim piece onto the body, I *think* if you look above the trim you can see them. It's a long time since I replaced mine so my memory is a bit sketchy I'm afraid.

yes i saw 2 metal clips at where the gap is, there must be another 1 or 2 still holding it, i'll give it a try in a minute. thank you

Please let me know when you work this out, im gonna replace mine as they got scuffed when someone broke in.

as Nic said, if you removed all the screws, then theres only 3 clips holding the trim, it will come off with a little bit of force.

The metal window trim is only held in by screws, no clips, but it does have a non setting adhesive thats a bit of a pain to prise it away from, you also need to check for screws right into the corner under the rubber.
