Well, it's about time we started thinking forwards to this so who's up for it?

Would like to see a strong team representing the Supras this year so please add your name to the list below if you'd like to compete and your PROVEN drag times so far. There's also the handling element to consider so track ready stripped type Supra's will also be considered on merit:

1. [9.86] Envy (GT42R, 2.5 bar boost, 272s, AEM, VWR Intake, 6spd)

2. [10's] Robbie (Was T67, BL Auto, PI Hi Stall etc)

3. [12.4] Lee P (2835 twins, built engine, AEM, Veilside intake, 6sp,)

4. [CIRCUIT - [email protected]] SteveL (Stripped, carbon'd up circuit spec Time Attack entrant)

5. [unproven] Tooquicktostop (Dean) (T04R, 272cams, 6 speed, HC5 Aquamist, 100 shot NOS, Built engine)

6. [unproven] Michel lane (previosuly 12.3 on old setup - now SP74 GTS DBB 6 speed, 272 cams etc)

7. [unproven] Wez (T60-1, HKS 264's, AEM)

8. [unproven] Green with Envy (GT55, 290 cams, AEM, Direct Port Nitrous 150hp, Veilside Intake, 6spd)

9. [unproven] Gruggs (BL71 DBB turbo, BL Auto Box with PI 3800 hi stall, Greddy Intake, HKS CAMS, AEM)

10. [unproven] Jevansio (GT4088R, 264's, AEM, Greddy Intake, 6sp, 1.6BAR)

Put yourself on the above list based on your time from fastest at the top to slowest at the bottom or if you want to be considered as a circuit specialist then put your name at the bottom with [CIRCUIT] in front of it. Also could you include some basic spec info and power level in your entry line. Example entry lines showing formatting:

1. [9.87] The Roadrunner (T71, BL trans, PI 4K Stall)

2. [CIRCUIT] The Stig (Stripped, caged, full underbody aero, TRD diff, Ohlins Coilovers)

3.

You get the idea. See www.totb.co.uk for full info.

I've stickied this thread to keep it at the top and we'll devise a final team entry in a few months before the final closing date for entries at the start of July, based on the above list.

Cheers,

Brian.

Is this for mere mortals? By July I'll be 450bhp tops on the stock twins. So let me know if you need a pace car, heh.

Open to all at this stage but need to see proven drag times so that we can field the best team come the time. I would suggest around 12 sec on the 1/4 mile to be the marker to qualify for our team.

Cheers,

Brian.

Thanks for the explanation - will see what I get in March at the 'pod. Will certainly be in the 12's but there's a big difference between 12.9 and 12.0 :D

Sorry guys I don’t have any proven times, I’ll enter as an individual . Good luck to the club entrants though! :)

You're extremely unlikely to get in as an individual without proven times. The competition gets more and more fierce as each year goes by. Best bet is get to your local dragstrip, do some runs and post a proven time.

PMSL @ Ian - It's typical of every year to see lots of enthusiasm at first and people swearing their cars will be ready and decimate all...... then when the time comes we're left up the clyde in a banana boat scrabbling to get a team together :taped:

Graeme - Get that car of yours proven! Crail starts back some time in Feb so plenty of opportunity for you to prove you're not all talk ;)

Cheers,

Brian.

As per Dean's entry above (he pm'd me to check it was OK) if you have an impressive spec and would like to be considered, then please put yourself on the list at the bottom with [unproven] in place of the time for now then we can update it when you do a qualification time.

Could people also remember their power estimate in at the end of their entry line - ta!

I'm hoping it'll be 10 but after our poor showing last year with lots of members letting us down it may well be that we're limited to 5. Think Ian is still in direct contact with Chris Mann on that front? If not I can drop him an email about it.

Cheers,

Brian.

lol :D :DGood to see that the use of the search button is alive and kicking.

The car should have been running for the event last year. I did everything I could on my end but things out with my control meant that it was not possible and the car at that point should have been ready months in advance, but hoo hum C'est la vie.

Plus even when we tried to get a spot at the last minute directly, got called back and said they had no available slots.

I wont even officially put forward my car this time unless it (a) runs and (b) is still in my ownership and © even if it is quick enough as there are some huge cars out there on the board now.

Satisfied?? :)

Cheers

G

PS...ANy idea how long a burnt out car would take to re-build?? ;-)
