I got to one bend in the road where you could see it was icy and very gently applied the brakes to slow down a little. The idiot behind me who had been tailgating for most of the trip must have applied his brakes a little stronger than I had as when I looked in my rear view mirror he was very gracefully going sideways! He managed to flick it back to the right (almost completely sideways again) then back to the left and then straight.
