Already have a SF lance from ebay but yours looks so much better, the ones from ebay come with a tiny bottle and you can "just" get round the whole car, the 1ltr bottle, 10 ltrs of snow foam and adjustment valve really does make this a cracking buy :)
You take trade ins ;)

if you are not sure about the atachment , then a few different ones can be sent , but you will have to return the ones that dont fit

This is the one I use, same foam too - fantastic price, especially with the 10L of foam.
Enough to do a whole Supra on the thickest setting, the Escort and the house windows :) I tend to just double up on one car though otherwise the neighbours start pointing and laughing.
Group Buy approved :) Thanks Peter.

so how many washes does the 10L do? and how expensive are the re-fills? I want one but not if I use up £20 of foamy stuff every wash lol.

I asked exactly the same thing mate via PM, Pete's answer was :
you only need about 20mm in the litre bottle , so it will last a long time , you might find that you dont use the whole litre as well, especially if your quick
I'm sure Peter won't mind me quoting ;)

not at all, 10l will last you absolutely ages , dont forget you wont foam the car every time
what is the order of cleaning using this kit ?
do you use the foam first then sponge it from the top downwards, then rinse off or......
for the best results ?
peter richards
04-01-08, 20:32
yes it is a pre wash , it goes on first , please dont tell me you use a sponge lol
once the car is covered you leave it dwell for a few minutes then rinse off .
then wash the car as normal with a wash mitt , and whatever product you use

Depends how filthy the car is but I foam > leave for 10 minutes (unless sunny when it starts to dry), then power wash it off so remove the grime, then bucket wash as usual and so on... it's a prewash stage.
You can use it to clean the car in the way you describe but I'd do the soak and rinse first to get all the gritty nasties off before touching the car. Just add some wax free shampoo to the foam lance (about the same as snowfoam) and away you go :)

What a bummer, i've only just seen this thread ! I bought one of these snow foam attachments from Ebay a few weeks ago ( it looks exactly the same as the gb one ) I tried it yesterday morning but it would'nt work with my Karcher JW ?
Any ideas Peter or anyone ? I've got a Karcher 620m JW which i've had for a fair fw years now, perhaps thats the problem ?
Cheers

Mine arrived today :) undamaged, thanks peter.
Now, are there any guidelines on how best to use it? Do you need to dilute it before you but it in the tank on the lance, and is it OK to use every time you wash the car?

Just stick a couple of cm's of the snow foam in the bottle and top up with warm water - you can pop a bit of shampoo in too but try it without first. Shampoo without wax is best if you do decide to try this - it's a bit like chemistry really to find your favourite mix :)
The standard foam shouldn't strip any wax so you can use it on every wash... then for the house windows... conservatory... and everything else you can think of because it looks cool
where from Pete, and which model - I'm uhhming and ahhing at the moment ;)
Mike
Well, I'm trying too.....

Halfords have a sale on for the K4.99M Deluxe for £109 which, you save £40 of their normal price. Standard price on t'ternet is ~£160-180.
However, I have checked the Halfords stores from Liverpool to Lancaster to Bolton and Blackburn......ONLY the last two stores mentioned had one in...I reserved it and within 10mins they called to say that they had either been robbed or was a returned unit so, don't bother. All other Halfords stores say there is no availablity in the NW. :-(
I might have to just for the K3.99M for £99 in the sale. (But, am holding out for the mo)
I live down a dirt track now so, really need one at this time of year AND I want to order one of Pete's snow foams :)

I wanna use mine I wanna use mine!!! Its been flamin raining every opportune moment I've had :( I'm getting assed of with UK flipping weather. Especially as all but my show car is covered in nastyness. I was going to treat my range rover to a soapyness and it flogged it down. Peter could you do me a favour and order up some decent weather?
peter richards
23-01-08, 23:23
ive sold everything ive got two of , but nope it still rains , and my van is going to the van hospital tomorrow
Did you get all my funds Pete ?
peter richards
30-01-08, 15:53
yes pete ive updated the list, mitt money wasnt in though , but ive sent them anyway
Cheers Pete, Looking at the PM timelines/dates, I did not send the mitt money until 3 days after the snowfoam cash was sent, so there will be some gap. It will land any day now, let me know when it does.
Thanks again Pete  my car really needs it!

Great bit of kit, i used mine on my bike today, left the snow on for five min and it melted the dried up mud a treat:)
Love mine, makes such a diff to washing the car as a whole.

I did 20mm snowfoam, 15mm ish of soap and added a bit of water to fill the bottle half way, then just tuned the top knob for decent spray and then tuned the front of the spraylance to get proper application

Hi Peter
forgot to say i have a Karcher.
Cheers
Pete
Peter - I don't have a pressure washer, but could be tempted to get one if you can recommend one that would:
a) be useful but,
b) won't break the bank?
...I suspect these are conflicting requirements, but it's worth asking all the same.

You buy the lance and you can come round and use it on my pressure washer ;) I may ask to borrow it to have a go on mine :innocent:

lol, by the time I drive home the car will be dirty again! :p
PLus a tank of fuel to get to yours & back will cost more than the washer, lol!

I already bought one and yehaa what a great bit of kit. I have however one complaint. the bloody thing won't stand up very well even when full which annoys the cr*p out of me. Is there some sort of special trick to make it free stand up when you put it down?
peter richards
25-04-08, 07:46
rest it in the bucket you should have two if you are doing it properly
dangerous brain
25-04-08, 13:49
Yeah but won't it float if its empty and the bucket is full? I was hoping you had some clever trick :D Whilst we are on the subject how long are you meant to leave snow on the car and at what stage are you meant to apply it?
peter richards
25-04-08, 13:59
if the car is filthy , say ten mins , then rinse off , theres no hard and fast rule .
i apply a second layer prior to me then washing the car adds that extra lube .
as for the bucket its before the wash so its empty
How odd, I spray my car, remove the lance from the power washer and it stands up all by itself on the concrete. Then again I tend to keep my bottle full up anyway so I guess that helps.

Mine stands up full or empty but, never tried it while it's attached to the lance. I take it off straight away after using it.
