Guest cj748
Does anyone know the correct tyre pressures for 18" wheels? The handbook quotes for 16/17" (36psi) is it the same? Also is rattle coming from the back, the seal on boot lid? Is this expensive to fix? Thanks CJ (week one with first mk4:D)
jamesmark
About 34 psi should be fine. The rattle is probably the boot rubbers, the black blocks top and bottom ask in the wanted section or they are usually on Ebay.
Gaz6002
Welcome. Rattle will be boot rubbers. Pressure is really down to you depending on type of rubber, driving style etc. I use around 36 PSI on the road but I do tend to experiment. EDIT: What he said ^^^
wHIZz
I just popped along to my local toyota dealer for the boot rubbers - whole set (2up + 2 down) cost me about £20. Got them shortly after I got my Supra - easy to fit too despite some advice suggesting the screws may be tough to remove. Well worth getting - such a solid "thud" now when I close the boot! wHIZz

keancy
Hello and Welcome, and be careful. As tempting as it is with a new car you should restrain from to much led foot at this time of year, to many casualtys recently.

Nic
Welcome to the club As already said, a new set of boot rubbers should cure the rattle. Your Toyota dealer should be able to supply, here are the part numbers you need. 67281-14050 Toyota Lower Boot Rubbers 90109-08055 Toyota Screws

Guest cj748
Brilliant. Thanks guys. Will get rubbers asap. Sounds like a back window open when driving and rattle is really annoying on bad road surface. Will try 34-36psi, and be careful!! Here in Scotland has been very cold and icy every morning. Cheers Chris
Guest Origin
hi and welcome i use 32-34 psi in winter and 34-36 in summer this offers a bit more grip in the winter months.
