mawby
Has anyone fitted a Carbing rear brace to a car with a factory sub? After taking the plastic trim off the back and placing the brace where it needs to go it is obvious the holes in the sub enclosure need to be made larger to allow the supports from the struct brace to fit, but it looks to me like even after modding the enclosure the brace isn't going to clear the actual speaker grill anyway. Ark
Nah won't work, so I'll do you a favour and take the brace off your hands for £20.

Ark
I wouldn't know, I don't have a sub...I just want a brace for £

mawby
I might well do that. I just want to know if anyone has got it to fit. It might just fit but I don't want to spend an hour taking bits out just to find it doesn't.

mawby
Well a factory sub picture is attached, which confirms my suspicion that I need to remove the sub if I want to fix the brace. Cheers Nic.
Sandy-m2
To drag this thread back up, Nic is that your car above - did you fit the strut with the plastic part that is below it? how did you widen the holes for the central supports? Also how much and where did you cut the carpet? also.... the area above each end looks ok when your carpet covers it but mine sags as there is no plastic but under it anymore. did you have any extra support? Hi Sandy No that's an Australian member's (Yiros) car, I've not personally fitted one of these (I have a stripped out boot with Cusco brace), so some of your questions I'm not too sure about. Pm Yiros, he is a great guy and I'm sure he will be happy to help with advice. cheers
