View Full Version : CD Headunit - MP3 problem
I've got a Panasonic headunit in the Supra, when i try and play a data CD of MP3s, a lot of the time with certain discs, the tracks don't play. It recognises that there's a track there but the track never starts. It's intermittent on the disc i.e. some tracks work, others dont. The disc isn't overburnt etc, some discs have no problems at all, others won't play. I've tried reburning them and it makes no differance. Is it a problem with the CD being burnt, or something with the drive that's doing it or is it just one of those things? Any suggestions? I'm gonna try another computer to burn it but can't do that for a week :(
Type of disc imo mate. Cheapo discs have done this to me before on the computer and player.
Verbatim is my disc of choice now. :)
lazy git
Listen it's hard work, i've just had to adjust myself on the couch, meant muscle contracting and i'm gonna rest a bit longer after expending all that energy. Might just have a nap too ;)
Cheers Andy, i think i'll get some of those and try them, they easily available? Cheers

Everywhere mate. Perhaps easier to order on line from the couch though.

:d well and truly hijacked though.
On topic. :) Some burning software causes this ie Toshiba Sonic does anyway.
Also some burners have issues with disc types DVD-R / CD-R is the norm. but some multi readers muck it up. :)
mine seems to do this can burn 30 tracks of wma and mp3 formats, some play some it just skips might have some security on the tracks ?
Not security related as i get an error code for that. I thought it was just the disc bein packed (but not overburnt) but i took loads off and it made no differance. Will try the new discs and if that doesn't help, will try a different burner. The tracls are recognized through a computer ok, it's just the headunit that struggles :(
