Saturday 2nd Feb - the day after my 30th birthday.

Latest plan:

Saturday:

daytime: no firm plans - probably go for a walk along the hills if it's nice.

4pm: meal at pub #1 - The Red Lion (hidden away here) - for those that fancy it,

....afterwards visit a couple more pubs nearby until...

7pm: (The main event!) I've hired a smallish bar in town with function rooms. Last orders is 11:45. ;)

All welcome!

For those who may want to make use of it, there is plenty of accomodation in Malvern all the way from cheapo B&Bs through to suedo-posh hotels. :D

This B&B is about 2 mins walk from the town centre, is £45/single or £70/double including breakfast and if you mention "Steve" or the "mark 4 Supra owners" you should get 5% off.

Thread created after Burna and Turbonut badgered me ;)

Excellent news Burna

Looks like some of my uni mates might be making the trip from their various locations - I've booked the Friday off work and could be heading into the Brecons for a drive out with the one who owns the last gen M5 :D If anyone fancies joining us, give me a shout....

Seems that you share a birthday with my eldest so I probably wont be able to make this. Sorry mate:( I'll leave instructions with Burna to hassle you about the ring trip:D

Well so long as you make one or the other, I suppose I can let you off :p

(probably) in expensive to cheap order:

Abbey Hotel - http://www.sarova.com/abbey

The Cottage in the Wood hotel/restuarant (about a mile out of town but apparently worth it; the food & views are nice anyway) - http://www.cottageinthewood.co.uk/

Foley Arms Hotel - http://www.bestwestern.co.uk/Hotels/Best-Western-Foley-Arms-Hotel-83829/Hotel-Info/Default.aspx

Great Malvern Hotel - http://www.great-malvern-hotel.co.uk/hotelmain.swf

General B&Bs - http://www.malvernbandbconsortium.co.uk/

EDIT - If I think of some more, I'll be back. We do quite well for accomodation seeing as it's only a smallish town, but the whole area (hills, springs, views, history, general **** driving standards displayed by locals etc etc etc) is a tourist attraction so there are a lot. :)

I forgot - the local Tourist Info place is pretty hot on accomodation too, I'll go dig out a link...
