SilverSoop
Hi all, remember i put a post up about the white supra that i had just bought, well shes in the garage now! It turns out that it wasnt my imagination, there is a slight issue with third gear. When you change in lows revs, its slick and fine to change gear. As soon as you give her some revs and change into third, it crunches-well doesnt want to go into gear at all So i took it back to the dealer and its going to be sorted out. He thought that it could be something simple like a fluid change, or maybe there is something wrong with third gear or it could be the clutch.... I took it in on tuesday, and i havnt heard back yet. Hopefully its nothing too serious!
Ben-san
Hope they sort it well - glad the dealer has agreed to have it looked at. Don't be afraid to chase them up... you are the customer and you've paid for a car that isn't quite right. Good luck!
Tom
Not good! hopefully it wont be too serious, pretty out of order for the dealer to send it out like that, and it's an RZ-S you have not an RZ-R
Private Pile
I had a similar problem after I was a bit over zealous changing into second gear... turned out to be the synchromesh which ended up costing a few hundred quid to repair so not too bad! Yeh it could well be that because it sounds like it. The car is under warranty so should it be the syncromesh which is the problem, at least it'll be free
Pete
If they're changing the fluid make sure it changed for the proper stuff.
