powers on then off!!!!!!!!!

hi all, my jap n/a came with no head unit, so when i put my kenwood unit in from my mr2 it powers up for a second then goes off. i thought my headunit was busted so i got a doubledin from ebay. thats doing the same thing, put another one in and incredibly that done the same thing. help me please!!!!!!!!!!

Is it going into protection mode? it will turn off to save itself. Check uve got no shorts on ur speakers etc etc. Poor earth?

Mine does as my speakers are shite at high volume. (Displays protection mode on the screen tho).

yer that sound like what its doing if i used to turn mine up to loud it would turn off then on again!
