Veilside Splitter

In the case of a Veilside it's to make the car look ridiculous.

A properly designed one should aid airflow and possibly add downforce.

Well through perserverance I managed to remove the front splitter. Although I'm not averse to the Veil kit as some, I can say that the difference is astounding. I will post pics up as soon as my mobile stops being a bugger.

Now the front end is circumsised from the foreskin of veilsideness.

what you doing to your car anyways ???

I'm improving it I hope, and giving it increased clearance.

Cheeky

Me no like :( Carl, put it back on.

Lol Anja, let me at least enjoy it like this for a while. No need to fear speed bumps. Although not sure what would happen at high motorway speeds?

Looks like i defo need some good mesh, that heater matrix (or what ever that is between the FMIC and the RAD, looks very fragile...

Anyway,, I checked the clearance now without the splitter, I have over 6 inches.. about 16 cms,.. I think 18 cms is standard on most cars (?). So I should be fine now.

I don't think that splitter is going back on ever again.

Sorry Anja :p

Got a question to add. Having washed the Supra earlier today I come to realise that my front veilside is different to yours.

I wonder if anyone can explain the reason to me.

On Carls the bottom section is seperate (part he took off) on mine it's one solid sealed unit, i.e. if I wanted to take it off (which I don't) the whole nose would be off.

Are there two different styles of veilside fronts then??

Yeah apparently there are Anja.

Not sure what came first.

BTW Im undecided on the veil withought the splitter. It definitaly needs something. a bottom part of some sort. I may look into modding the veil splitter, not sure. But yeah there is something very raw about it. But part of me loves that.
