Guest mossy86
Hi got my wheel bearing changed yesterday, the car is driving alot better but I can hear the odd scraping metal sound. I checked it over and the guard doesnt seem to be hitting off the disk.......any ideas Also since it was done the brake pedal is weird sometimes its high and other times it going right down to the floor... Front pads are good, I checked the rear pads they will have to be done soon but I didnt have this problem before the bearing was done.... Chris Wilson
Front or rear bearing? What was the original symptom?
Guest mossy86
Front drivers side.... Rough driving as if had a flat tyre sensation.... When took off the wheel and turned the hub it was very rough and tight.... But that has gone out of the car now since bearing was changed but left with this new problem..... R Black
This probably does'nt help & would be coincidence that it started straight after your bearing change, but if pads are low they make a very annoying metallic scraping sound, had this on mine. R Black
Probably not pads then sorry, sounds like you disturbed something when changing the bearing?
Guest mossy86
think i found the problem took off the hub again...There is alot of movement in it...think the bearing is not tight so droped back down to the lad I got to press it in.....
