Read the first report on the GTR.Talk about a giant killer!0-60-3.5 secs, top end 194 mph;all from 473 bhp amd 434 ft/lbs of torque.Has to be that cutting edge 4wd system that puts the power down so well.Just £55,000 or so.Think i'll start saving.Reckon by next year i'll be able to buy...well..bugger all,the Soops cost so much in repairs.Dreams,dreams.

just read about it on Pistonheads. They are saying that it has an anti tuning ECU and any tinkering will void wauntee and the bottem end may not be able to take much power (600bhp max). Plus the thing weighs 1760kg! Thats a little on the chubby side is it not? However all the gadgets sound very cool like if you get understeer you can plant the peddle and it will chuck extra touque to the rear to slide the car and get the noise pointing in the right direction. Not sure what happens when you try it and it says "computer says No!"

The ECU will likely be a rip and replace job. HKS FCON VI Pro anyone? :)

The plasma coated bores I suspect will be a problem for the tuners given the lack of meat between them as a result. Perhaps a first for a scenario where they fit thick liners and matching pistons etc. effectively reducing capacity to get decent power out of it?!?

After seeing the pictures, I'd have one - looks like a proper sports car now instead of a taxi with halfords tack stuck on. The real trick transmission and transaxle setup is quite ingenius and must make for an incredible drive. It's both heavier and has less power than a 911 Turbo yet still beats it on 0-60mph and top speed performance - all down to that setup minimising lost time through wheelspin and on shifts.

Cheers,

Brian.
