We've got these in at the moment which are great for the money. You just stick your photos on an SDRAM card.

Thanks Pete...
I assume the size of these things on-board memory is irrelevant if you use say an SD card ?

i've seen wireless one advertised recently. i assume you put some software on a wireless pc and the frame pulls it accross the network. might be useful...

I'd be fine with that, but the in-laws on the other hand maybe not:) My PC adventures with them are not for the faint hearted.
They love looking at their old photos and photos of their grand kids, so this sort of thing is ideal, as long as its simple. It may take a while for me to scan all their old photos, but I think they will be chuffed with the end result.
One prezzie possibly down, hundreds to go.

I was having a look into the wi-fi ones. The Kodak jobbies are pretty cheap, however you need to upload photos to Kodak's own site to view them which is a pain I guess.

However this one has a dedicated email address and you just email the photo's to it - very easy. The downside is its more expensive :(

That has possibilities too, thanks Gaz.

Mains, I can't remember if it takes batteries as well, but I don't imagine they'd last long if it did!

Bl**dy Tescos!
Thanks Pete...

That's right. I don't think there is any onboard memory.

I'll have a look at it more closely in the morning. To be honest other than seeing it working in the showroom I don't know too much about them as I'm not in sales. SDRAM is very cheap anyway.
