Kev.O
Does anyone have any pictures of this fitted to the manifold? I've fitted mine but it looks a little high. Thanks

Kev.O
Thanks. I don't suppose anyone has a picture of one fitted to the OEM manifold. I just want to see the height of it

colsoop
Kev, mount it to the back of the intake manifold. Or you could mount it here like Big Blue has: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=big&p=9819
Kev.O
I've already fitted it using the PHR bracket, it just looks a little high and I don't have my bonnet on to check
Homer
Where are you mounting it Kev? I had mine fitted to the rear of the manifold, but the nut/thread on top of the fpr poked into the fireblanket (but was still about 10mm clear from the bonnet itself). I can post a pic if it helps? Kev.O
I've bought the PHR FPR bracket. Here's a picture:
Kev.O
Here it is fitted. As you can see it's a little high. I never used the actual bracket that comes with the FPR as one set of the holes never matched up with the bracket and I think it would foul the oil dipstick if it were that low. RobSheffield
Kev, the strut braces usually sit higher, id say you will be ok. however, is it close to your scoop?
Homer
I see what you mean. I only used the standard fpr bracket, not the phr one so can't help, sorry It's definitely too high though, there is no way it'll clear. EDIT - forgot to say that the engine bay looks fab! Kev.O
Kev, the strut braces usually sit higher, id say you will be ok. however, is it close to your scoop? The scoop isn't fitted and it's hard to compare using it as it fits inside bonnet scoop.
RobSheffield
Actually looking again it is too high

The bracket appears to be higher in the first picture due to the angle I took the picture at. Thanks for the nice comment Homer. I guess the only real way to tell is to fit the bonnet I was hoping someone else might have this bracket already fitted and would have a picture of it. Kev.O
Actually looking again it is too high It's only a few mm higher than the throttle cable bracket
Homer
The bracket appears to be higher in the first picture due to the angle I took the picture at. I was going by the 2nd pic as the 1st one didn't show the angle too well. How much higher is the top of it than the throttle cable mount on the manifold? It seems to be about 1.5 inches or more, in which case it will hit the bonnet. Add in some flex when gunning it and it's way to close for comfort. I'm sure thats not the way phr would have meant it to be fitted so there must be something wrong in either the fitment or the mounting point used. Edit - bah - too slow! Not sure then mate, probably best you speak to PHR direct
RobSheffield
It's only a few mm higher than the throttle cable bracket Ok well, it ought to be fine - fit the bonnet and stop messing about

It can't be the wrong mounting points on the intake manifold as there's only the two.
