Guest jimmyholster
Hey guys, I been on these forums for ages but haven't posted in a long while (bout 2 years). anyhoo nice to see you all. I am about a month away from getting a MKIV supra, I originally had a MKIII that blew two head gaskets in 6 months, so obviously I am very shy and cautious about newer, more expensive to fix technology. SO i was wondering if the MKIV (in anyones experience) has any faults with the head gaskets, I am getting an NA model so obviously it would lessen the chances. thanks for your time guys. GOOD TO BE BACK!!! BOOYAH!
bodilx6
No issue with the MKIV head gasket. They learned theire lesson. Its a proper metal thingey now. At least for the TT. Not 100% on the NA gasket, but I've never heard of problems with it.

Guest jimmyholster
oh boy! my mouth is watering now! there must be something to fault with the NA though (apart from the lack of turbo =P
trooper
I had a HG go on my old MkIII but the MkIV is much much better (in every respect)
stevie_b
oh boy! my mouth is watering now! there must be something to fault with the NA though (apart from the lack of turbo =P As long as you're comfortable with the lower power that the NA gives, then there's no downsides at all. Some people buy an NA and then ask 2 months later, "how do I get more power?" The answer is sell it and buy a TT supra.
