OK a bit more detail...

I went out with the intention of just giving the Supra a quick blast up the motorway, grab some fuel and then go home again, I ended up in Whitby in the rain on a freezing cold day but grinning like a fool.

Worth the drive just for the corner at the Hole of Horcum but overall a fun blast in the car after leaving it parked up for over a month. It's rekindled my love of the Supra again while alerting me to the rising costs of petrol (£1.09!!).

It's the bit between Pickering and Whitby that I find most fun but even the 5mph climb up Sutton Bank behind a HGV was pleasant. I wanted to head west and go over through Hawes but I'll save that for another day.

Rename the attachment to .kml rather than .txt if you have Google Earth and want to see the route plotted on my phone using the Sports Tracker app.

(Ignore the "fastest point" bit, a glitch in the software)

Awesome drive that, Mr. C, but for true hardcore-osity you should have come back via Chimney Bank, the steepest navigable road in the UK!

It was dark by the time I set off back, that combined with the rain, muddy roads and my tiredness meant I opted for the easy A64 option.

Would like to have a go on some of the roads over there! Interesting that you thought about going to Hawes. We spend a lot of time around Sedbergh, Garsdale, Hawes etc as we regularly stay in a little cottage nearby.

I love those roads but I have never been there is the Supe...:(

Problem being that this cottage is on a farm and the 1/2 mile track is not for the faint hearted. The Supe would bottom out in a number of places!!

I feel an meet coming on after Crimble??;)

H.
