View Full Version : xmas shopping nearly done.
I've just spent the last two hours compiling a shopping basket at Amazon. Those guys have really improved their pricing this year and I couldn't find things cheaper anywhere else.
Spent £180 and got loads of bit and bobs for friends and some family presents. :D
Saves messing about in Birmingham too much tomorrow.

Me too, they are good on pricing and i don't have to compete with the christmas shopping crowd. One of the things i loathe about christmas :D

It's at this time of year being un-popular must really pay dividends Pete........:sly:
I reckon Vicki and I will spend a fortune on people and probably get back a couple of pairs of socks and a bottle of Lynx..... I know you don't give to receive but I always feel like I've been mugged every Boxing day!!:(

Im lucky Carla (Mrs Col) got most of ours in the January sales:D
we had got everything by August ;)
We don't do much shopping. We by each other presents and make sure the young nephews and nieces get something nice and that's about it.
The rest of our family members are too old for presents really so we don't bother and don't expect them to either.
It makes the run up to Xmas so much less stressful.
Finished mine last month, such a relief.

I knew someone would comment on the figure.
It's only the work colleagues and stocking fillers :p
We're the same. Last year we were really thoughtful with everyone and spent loads, what we received was pretty thoughtless tat.
I do get more pleasure from the giving than the receiving though and spent lots on my Neice and Nephew - that's what it's about.
Even doing it online I ended up having a mentalist session as we hadn't recorded anything we'd already bought, bags everywhere, what's inside? Whos this for? etc
