I was driving into work today and I started smelling fuel. just been down to look at the car and found the leak to be here see pics.

It's the big black pipe that's covered in fuel. is the car safe to drive home and does anyone have any ideas what is leaking?

Cheers

Could be a split fuel pipe, thats where the fuel pipe enters the intake, it happened to me on the M25 and is VERY dangerous, do not drive the car until it is sorted IMO

Don't take any chances with a fuel leak Ross!!:(

You don't want to possibly lose your car do you!!

If it is a fuel line it is very easy, just replace with another fuel grade pipe, the RAC replaced mine for free, shame it was a failed FPR as well !

Actually it's the return hose from the fuel pressure regulator back to the tank. It's not as pressurised as the feed to the fuel rail but if the hose came off completely you'd empty your fuel tank in a few minutes - not good.

Relatively easy to get at and fix.

Sorted :d

Aye it was just a split pipe. The AA dude swapped it and as he used to own a MkIII didn't just run away saying "Think your going to need a Tow" double win..

Cheers for all the advice :)
