What do think sounds nicer Supra or Skyline??

Two straight sixes, same country but very different sounding.

I know it's not going to be cut & dry due to exhaust types but I do really like the noise from skylines very low and race car sounding.

Big BUT though, I reckon the supra sounds more energetic and free revving if you know what I mean.

I prefer the sound of a single turbod supra over a skyline any day.. its just so much more aggressive

Supra without a doubt IMHO. Single or otherwise, the burrrrrrble is just deeper and more aggressive.

Supra whatever the spec sounds nicer. Don't get me wrong, the Skylines sounds very nice, but the larger CC of the Supra beats it every time.

Yep large V8's sound magic thunderous burble makes my hairs stand on end everytime.

Thats an Audi V8 and doesn't count, too high revving and efficient to sound like a real V8. LOL:p

Holy sheeeeit, now that sounds intimidating. That was like one of the hot hatch days a knockhill, carpark littered with novas & saxos then the 70's camaro next to the Nova fired up and started revving now that was good.

I once had a straight through exhaust made for an old TT of mine (The Blue Bullet) and IMHO, it was the best sounding TT bar none. It was the closest sound to an American muscle car I could have got.

I loved that sound and if I was to get another TT, that would be the exhaust I would fit. It was pure "sex out of a pipe"

I had the that BL set up on my Orange car and loved the noise on tick over / low revs but like Michel Lane, I got fed up of the droning noise that occurred when driving long distances.

I loved that sound and if I was to get another TT, that would be the exhaust I would fit. It was pure "sex out of a pipe"

I didn't get any droning on mine (probably just kept it out of that zone without thinking about it!), but got to agree, they are stupidly loud on a single at almost any rpm. I couldn't even hear the stereo above 100mph.

No problem. It was the metal fabricator that had a unit next to the old Turbofit place. It was basically a straight through 4" pipe with just the tubbies acting as silencers.

Yep, crazy loud eh? Do you know if Gamer kept it on the car or changed it? After all the money he spent on ICE, I would imagine he changed it.

I.e. a drainpipe straight from the manifold Can't beleive it never got pulled for the noise it made!

I'd say it depends on what skyline, I think an RB25 sounds different to an RB26.

I have an RB25 and compared to the supra engine, it is less deep and less agressive.

i have a HKS Ti, it has a slip fit rear can, i fabricated another silencer with no baffling what so ever, bit too loud (even for me:blink:)
