Foz
Hiya guys, im looking at getting some new alloy wheels (ive still got the standard ones on my MKIV TT Aerotop 94) Im thinking of going for 18"'s but ive heard these can affect the smoothness of the ride? IS it better to go for 17s? Also what size front and rear is suitable ive heard 235s on the front and 255s on the rear is ok? As you can guess i have no idea! hahah. Any help you can give is appreciated! Cheers all. Foz.
hoff
17s are perfect but 18s are not a real problem. I have 19s and they are fine for normal driving. 235/40/18 up front will be fine but you may be better off with 265/35/18 at the back. 255 will probably be fine though. Depends on the width of the wheel also.
Nic
What wheels are you wanting? Manufacturers will usually recommend sizes and offsets to fit different car models.
