Nothing.

Be interested to know why you pulled your original post? I sort of agree with what you put as Im not sure I would be happy buying a car that had been in a shunt only to find that it wasnt actually recorded and was repaired on the cheap? Not saying it will be, but we all know theres a cheap way of fixing and the proper way of fixing.

Also bear in mind that the seller is new to the forum.

That is no way going to be worth repairing insurance write off or no. The level of damage there is way in excess of economical repair. I'd be highly surprised if something important wasn't bent. Given the current price of over 100k miler auto TT's it would be impossible to repair that properly for even the cars current value. Now for spares thats another matter but again alot of stuff is bent or broken. I am not trying to be a git but that car is well messed up dude.
Also not being a paid up trader and posting a link to a trading site within 3 posts is well out of order.

You could be buying a whole heap of problems, but there are a few bidding on it:)

Rear left wheel is not in line with the rest of the car looking at the last picture. Probably suspension damage and a load of other things bent.

I think you'd be better off stripping the car of all undamaged bits and selling them seperately.

Actually I do not know, I think i just felt it is not proper to put this in sales thread. Still I wouldn't be happy to buy one as a HPI clear...

Nasty, I think stripping it would be better in the long run..... shame to see another Supra bent :(

Considering the drivers side front wing is damaged (in a way that would suggest it was jammed when he tried to open the door to get out) I would expect the hole front of this car is well and truly fcuked.

Only worth it for spares, no way you'd get that back on the road for a reasonable price.

Can the title be changed to add "Damaged"?

That cars mashed beyond repair. It may be worth transplanting into a new shell though, or breaking up.

The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price.

Guys -

Some A-hole broke into my ebay account and cut my listing which was sitting at £2060 with 6 hours left. It wouldn't make sense for me to cut the listing with 6 hours left considering that the last few hours is when people bid a lot?

Just getting that sorted out with ebay and will email those who made offers a little later.

By the way guys who've checked this car out have all said they can get this car repaired, and also not for the mind boggling figures some have you have suggested.

The proof of the pudding is in the offers I've received outside of ebay and within it, which have been decent, so obviosly the car isn't the sh*t wreck some of you make out!

Have you had the damage assessed by a mechanic?

We are basing our comments on the worst case scenario and unless you can show something to prove the chassis isn't bent or that it soesn't need more than a couple of panels then as Jezz said, it's only good for breaking, and he should know :)

autos are cheap anyways these days, i think the car is only fit to be broken..if it was a manual then maybe someone would fix it but it would not appeal to many and am sure others will think its best to brake..

I would also say thats not worth repairing, inner rear panel is damaged also looks to me that both inner fronts too, so i would suspect chassis legs are out.

Sorry dude sounds like a whole load of horse sh*t to me. Most peoples accounts that get hacked are so the item in question is sold not so the item isn't sold or is withdrawn.

By the way guys who've checked this car out have all said they can get this car repaired, and also not for the mind boggling figures some have you have suggested.

Mate I could find a handful of garages that would tell me they would put humptey dumptey back together again if I so desired. I know of at least one that actually would, having being the recipient of a supra that started life as a 93 front end and a 98 rear end anything is possible, its just not legal!!!

The proof really is in the pudding chap. The proof is none of these so called offers have materialised into a sale which is why you are still trying to hawk this car on here.

Court disaster here----Lack of insurance???

no insurance = no sympathy

advice: take the highest bid on ebay and next time you want to get a decent price for your smashed car just ring your insurer like the law says

I have looked into this car quite a lot and spoken to quite a few knowledgable people on here. All are of the opinion that the car cannot be used in it's current state, however a few people did mention that it would be possible to transplant the bits from the damaged car into a rolling shell and go from that. It would be a real project but it would be an interesting one.

From speaking to Adz though, I think he is wanting £2500 which is not worth it.

dangerous brain
25-12-07, 23:04
Well if it was advertised as a transplant car with all the bits you needed then yeah a couple of grand is reasonableish for that kit if you have a way of getting shot of the shell. Its just not great to advertise something as a fixer that clearly to those that know isn't.

I agree but I just wanted to make people aware of the option. :)

got to be worth 2k could make 3k + breaking it .

dangerous brain
25-12-07, 23:19
Yeah but breaking it would be easily 24 hours labour and then the same at least posting and packing (I know I have had to do it myself with a car I bought that was supposedly a fixer).
