supra prices

just looking at the Ireland Auto Trader website to see how much a TT would be going for. My mate over there told me that you couldnt pick one up with average miles for any less than £8-9K. I checked this and it seems to be the case. Why are the TT only going for around £5-6K here:search: ?

U'd need to pay a tax fee or somthing like that from what i can gather.

Does it cost much to export to Ireland then? Otherwise how come there aren't people making a killing on it?

i think you have to pay a tax like supraman said but surely this wouldnt be much. Even if its £2000 you can still make £2-3K everytime. Im originally from ireland and all my mates have told me to sell mine over here. They all said there is plenty of interest in supras. One of my mates has just brought a non turbo with 85K miles for £6,600. CRAZY but interesting for guys over here dont you think

As above, tax is 25%, although I had it down on 30% on a 3 litre car. Plus a thousand euro's road tax. They also really don't like auto's very much as it's not as involved a drive as a manual and they fail to grasp that auto's can be a good car as well.

Most people in Ireland use carzone.ie for the cars though and if you have a look here, I don't believe you'll make much here. I've though of selling mine here a few times (working in Ireland for a while) but with it being a UK car with the mileage they come with and an auto I have my work cut out to make any more money than I would in the UK. If you have a something special it would be a good bet.

As the Irish tax according to engine size, the Corolla, Glanza and S14 are more popular cars here.
