Just workd out my MPG for this week.....

Had my car converted to BPU a fortnight ago so expected my mpg to drop a fair bit, but also fitted a new O2 sensor after hearing so much on how they can improve MPG (every little helps).....anyway....

...worked out that for a whole weeks driving AROUND TOWN my car did an average of 24.5 MPG!!! :eyebrows: Granted i wasn't flooring it everywhere but all the same i'm well chuffed with that....

...my point is, if you are considering replacing your O2 sensor, DO IT! (For £82 off Nic you cant go wrong!!)

Erm...thats it! ;)

Nice one

I was considering just sticking it in a lemon overnight for now, is supposed to make it better iv heard....

yes mate i heard exactly the same - my local jap specialist told me not to risk doing that though (not sure whats to risk but didnt fancy trying it)....when i found new OEM ones for 82 squid i thought its prob money well spent - should make it back in a couple of fill ups!!

plus i'm guessing the lemon juice trick is more of a short term fix??

:)

My car was with James today having the upper and lower wish arms replaced, I also had a O2 sensor in the boot for him to fit but forgot to tell him, DOH :D

Anyway, the upper and lower wish arm replacements didnt stop my creaking, so Im guessing its the spring turning on full lock or something....

Its from the front end, thought first it might have been the sub frame bolts but they have been checked and are all tight, so when the car went to CW to have new suspension he said it was deffo the upper wish arm bushes, and you cant just buy the bushes to have to replace the whole wish arm, but it hasnt gone away, but has reduced in noise quite a bit, but still there when turning lock to lock.......will get in booked back in with James and get to have a further look and fit the O2 sensor......

Erm, no, but I know there are a couple of bolts that are harder to get to, so if you look underneath its the ones that are sunken quite deep, you wont be able to get a standard socket on them so will need one of those longer sockets, like the one that usually fits your wheel nuts, oooeerrrr misses......;)

These are known to come loose over time, on the 93 cars some even reoprted scary instances where one might have been finger tight.....
