I organised the 1st Newhouse/Motherwell meet/thrash and then i moved to Edinburgh leaving it in capable hands. I've seen about 4-5 Supras in Edinburgh so far and since then 1 of them was murdered by an ice truck.
C'mon Edinburgh, communicate!
yes would agree with Ian and Chris, its time someone organised a Central meet , preferably before Xmas / New Year.
cheers

Anyone fancy a drive to oban? I went to inverary on Sunday with the wife and had an absolutely great time. Cruised all the way there and all the way back with the sun out most of the time.
The views and roads were amazing apart from the odd dodgy bits of tarmac.

Anyone think the Scottish Mods should do something useful and TRY and organise a meet?
Are there scottish mod'S or just one?
Only one i know is TDR.

It is not the mod's place to organise meets... it is the event organiser's place, hence we have events organisers!
That you volunteering again? If everyone expects everyone else to organise a meet, it'll never happen. That's just laziness :p
I've organised several meets in the past despite not being an events organiser. What we really need is a dedicated events organiser in Scotland...
I was thinking about another Rolling Road type meet if people are up for it? It would be at Hypertec at Bonnybridge this time because they have a Dyno Dynamics RR that can cope with autos so we can all run...
Cheers,
Brian.

Sounds like a great idea we really all need to pull together and get something happening!:)
I agreed to take up Events Organiser for Scotland. I am now in central Scotland so will start to make an effort to get events going
Hi Sorry have not been around lately due to lack of internet connection so lets start the ball rolling.
First lets start with a location .....
My suggestion to start is Edinburgh

As per my suggestion above Ian - can you contact Hypertec in Bonnybridge (near Falkirk) and enquire about numbers required, prices and availability for a RR day on a Saturday or Sunday. Sunday is usually most people's preference if it's available.
I can help out with numbers depending on what they say - usually the sxoc lot are up for it.
Cheers,
Brian.

Will get on to it :D
Will also look at organising a day out at the David Coulthard museum that fell apart last year due to weather
Ian R, how about organising a club stand at the Chatelherault Vintage Car Show ( near Hamilton) . Although the event doesnt take place til August, I suppose the organisers stant organising early. If the weather is nice then this event has around 5000 -10000 visitors on the one day. Some club members already appear with other clubs - so they may know who to contact
Cheers
Ian
Also trying to gauge interest in a drive/meet/grub on 22nd February 2008 on another members thread :- TrackScotland @ Knockhill.
Any members interested in going along to watch OR participate, then show your interest on Adams thread.
Cheers
