View Full Version : 1993 BPU Silver RZ
It is, with much regret, that I am putting my Supra up for sale.
Owing to a change in circumstances, we require two daily runner cars, and we cannot afford to run the Supra as a daily runner.
A bit about the car:
First imported into the UK as a Grade 4 import on 1st September 2001 it was converted to miles with 66296KM showing on the odometer making the mileage 41195. The odometer is showing just shy of 110,000 miles making it around 84,500 miles.
It has had 2 previous UK owners before me, and I met it's first owner at Japshow Finale in 2005, who was a mature owner and serviced it personally from import until he sold it in 2004. The second owner didn't have the car long before I purchased it in July 2004 from a dealer. The car then, apart from a HKS panel filter and a turbo timer and AME Circlar Spec R 17" wheels was totally stock. I didn't realise at the time that the car had a rare TRD exhaust on it which now resides on Mr Angry's car.
I had the car regularly serviced (oil plugs fluids etc) and had the car decatted and a FMIC and cambelt service in October 2006 by Turbofit. I also had a pair of genuine OEM spats and skirts fitted.New crank pulley damper was fitted in April 2007.
Tax to end of April 2008, MOT June 2008.
Sale includes cats, extra wiring harness for gauges, blue led pod for gear selector on dash and other bits and pieces. ;)
Full spec of the car can be found in my garage. Edit to add you can contact me by pm or email to classone@mkivsupra.net. I have no intention of leaving the club, I've made a great deal of friends from here over the years. I am open to (sensible) offers on the car.

I'll try and get down on Monday for the package. We might get a Cap but wifey is favouring a MX5.
I appreciate the price is cheap, and I'm not trying to devalue the price of TT's, but just trying to get interest to sell. As you know Gav, it's not a dog, far from it, as the pics testify. If it sells, it sells, if not, then we'll just have to stop buying food. :D

Crikey no Doug, lovely car and well worth that price!
Will be sad to see it go, will you hang about?

Yes I'll still be here. I have no intention of jumping ship and letting JB and the team here down. I like it here, made loads of friends, just can't afford to keep the car at present. Perhaps circumstances will change in the future but I consider myself to be very lucky to have had the priveledge to own a high performance sports car for as long as I have with a family and mortgage. The majority of people trudge on through life never ever knowing what it feels like to feel the acceleration of these cars, and drive around in their rep mobiles. So I can't complain really. :)
not sure if this will do it but :twak:
are you sure
Whats going on. Another mod selling up! something us mortal members should know?
Good luck doug. Nice clean motor this. Sounds nice too.
These chippenham meets are going to be strange with just a few supras showing
As you know Gav, it's not a dog, far from it, as the pics testify.
That is the truth, it is one of the nicest examples going and certainly been loved.
That is a very good price Doug for what looks like a very tidy and well looked after motor. Glad you're sticking around, wouldn't be the same without you :friends:
BTW you forgot to mention the very rare and very cool carbon fibre effect dash  :)

ps. I can get loads of go faster tuning parts for MX5's and Cappuccinos :innocent: ;)
fuck me - that must be almost HALF the price of what it should be? must be worth + £9k??
i still believe that if you price the supras high, the market will follow thus everyone getting back the kinda money the deserve for such a "supercar".... :)
Sad to see you selling up :(
If I'd stuck to my original plan of buying a Supra now, instead of caving early and buying 12 months ago, I'd be very interested! Very nice example for such a low price. Good luck with the sale.
In the extremely unlikely event that this is still for sale in a months time i'll be jumping at the chance to take this of your hands mate..!

Man thats a crazy price. Hope its not soo low as to worry non club members into not buying it thinking there is something wrong because its so cheap.
maaannn just outta my price range , wheres the banks number :D
fuck me - that must be almost HALF the price of what it should be? must be worth + £9k??
would that not be +£11k if it is half what it should be? ........you know 2 x 5.5?
anyway if i was carless i would buy this one.

Nope there's nowt wrong with the car. The market is awash with TT's in the £6k-£9k bracket. I'm just trying to generate some interest by offering it at a bargain price. It's only advertised here, in the hope that it goes to a proper enthusiast rather than end up in a ditch in two months time. :(
If it sells, it sells, if it doesn't  but that's my rock bottom price.
Bump...c'mon grab a bargain while you can. ;)
class one, just a suggestion? prehaps if you put it back to stock and sell car cheaper! and then sell mods, and try and make the money that way?! just a idea!
Someones going to get a very nice car  Its how id like mine to look, and what i paid for mine in march, with a few problems
Can i have your skirts/wheels :p :innocent:
Good luck with the sale

Blimey, I've only just seen this. I had no idea you were selling up.
And the price is so damn low... Mine was specced very similarly to yours, and I got just shy of 8K a couple of months ago. (And mine had a hideous Veilside wing on it!)
I can't believe this hasn't been snapped up already.
Good luck with the sale Doug.
fancy selling me those gauges and pod before it goes? :)
Sorry to hear you selling up Doug mate.
Great car at fantastic price too someone going to grab themselves a bargain here.

lol! Funnily enough, I nearly posted the same question myself!

Yep no probs,£5500 plus a car for free! :D
The odometer is showing just shy of 110,000 miles making it around 84,500 miles.
might i add that it is round 68k, i checked on 3 different web converters all given a conversion of 68k on the clock
110,000 kilometers (km) × 0.621 = 68.31 miles
FTO Converter 68750 miles
web calc 68.35
letting a bargin go there!
Thats one nice looking car....good luck with the sale.
Crikey Doug, only just spotted this!
What do you think you're playing at?

Just so that no-one is confused by the above, when the car was imported in Sept 2001 it was showing 66296km on the odometer. When they are converted to miles, the figure remains the same but reads miles after the figure. So at the point the actual mileage was 41195 miles so the figure of 25101 should be subtracted from the odometer reading.
Because of the Property Misdescriptions Act I have to advertise the car for sale with the figure that is showing on the odometer.
Thankyou :)
Just heard about you selling! Shocked isn't the word mate
Give yourself a slap and pull yourself together man!
Sold today. Choked doesn't cover it and my daughter was inconsolable. Never mind 'tis only a car.
