Stumbled on this, is it pump or good???

Erm... the first clue is when he talks about IAT sensor moving...

However, there is a way to "trick" the engine computer into thinking that the incoming air is a little cooler than it really is, and therefore get the ECU to advance the timing a small amount and increase fuel supply at the same time.

At that point, I stopped reading it.

I have no idea yet, just thought id put it on anyway?

Nothing wrong with asking if it is a good idea or not, to be fair a few of us have seen these things before hence the short response :)

Mods like those described in the above article are generally not a good idea.

Modification Number One: Index Your Plugs

Total b*llocks

Modification Number Two: Insulate Fuel Lines

Not sure what the theory is here and whether colder fuel helps it atomise better. The fuel line into the fuel rail is away from heat sources anyway so can't see how it would make any difference.

Modification Number Three: Relocate IAT Sensor

I laughed at this one, what a stupid thing to do!

Modification Number Four: Synthetic Oil

Can't see how this will help gain power, but I'm sure we all use synthetic oil anway ;)

Modification Number Five: Increase H2O Ratio In Coolant

The engine tempurature is controlled by the thermostat anyway, so unless you have an overheating problem (i.e. something else wrong) it won;t make any difference

Modification Number Six: Throttle Body Coolant Bypass

Another one that made me laugh - he said it only makes an improvement when the engine is cool - who the heck is going to start ragging the car with the engine cold!

However, it might make a tiny difference on a high powered single conversion.
