Just needing some advice.

Had my single din bluetooth sony headunit for a while but I'm gonna upgrade to a fusion sub that i've got sat in the garage and the sony doesn't have an in or any control for a sub. I'm thinking of going for a Sevic double din unit this time.

My sub is an active enclosure from Fusion. I'm planning making a custom box for the Supra's boot. I want to upgrade the other speakers at the same time. Using Fusion again co-axials in the rear and components in the front.

Do I need to get a bigger amp to power both fronts and the sub or do I just need to get another amp to run the fronts, keeping the existing amp for the sub?

I can do the fitting work but I'm a bit unsure about running the cabling for the amps.

Anyone know where to get a good deal on some Fusion speakers?

Cheers
Dave

get a mono amp for the sub, if your using fusion a cheap fly one will do, as for the front and rear get a 4 channel, cable's i would use gadge 4, how much are you wanting to spend, do you want quality or loudnes and bass, sound can get expensive :D

The fusion Sub already has an amp (its an active enclosure) so I'll be using that with the sub. I'll be making a custom box to fit the Supra. Your recommending a four channel amp to power the front and rears?

It may sound stupid but how do i Run the cabling for two amps? does it mean two power cables? ( yes I know sounds daft but I'm a novice)

Any experience with Vibe Components? I liked the sound and look of the ones I saw on a mates car. I've only previously had Sony and Infinity components.

I'm looking for a good allround system with a crisp clear sound and plenty bass to back it up

Cheers

To run more than 1 amp you have to get a 'fused distributor block'.

The main cable running from the battery (which also should be fused at the battery end) goes into the distributor block and then you can run upto 4 power supplies (depending on the block)to each amp.

The same goes for the earth/ground - but dont wire this up to the battery - wire it up to somewhere solid on the body of the car.

Use 4 gauge cable for the main live from the battery into the distributor block and then 8 gauge cable to each amplifier.

There are other amps that have amp-amp configuration which ndoes not need this layout, but this is the best way to do it.
