grahamc
Well I found this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=107717 But what do I use to clean the brakes first? Is there a thread detailing brake removal and fitment from start to finish? Changing from jspec to uk spec?

JustGav
Take the calipers apart and get them masked, sand blasted and powder coated...
JustGav
bump? Swapping over from j-spec to UK's is dead easy... I believe, it is two bolts to take the calipers off, and then cutting the dust shield, and simply installing the UK calipers on. It has been a while since I did mine, but it certainly was one of the easiest jobs going.
grahamc
Well technically I am swapping from UKs to big 8 pots. Just wanted to clean up the UKs once they came off, as well as rear UKs at the same time.
JustGav
Provided you have the brackets to suit you SHOULD be okay, it is when you have to start getting brackets machined, THATS when it gets interesting...
grahamc
2nd hand, and came off a supra, so should be easy.
n boost
2nd hand, and came off a supra, so should be easy. Fairly straight forward mate. Should not take much more than 2 hrs to swap uk to them 8 pots. You have brackets attached to caliper so will save time figuring out how they attach. To clean old brakes get some brake cleaner, like the stuff u get in caliper painting kits which works and removes baked on crap.
