Another TF thread!

On my way to Hyper SR yesterday to have my new brakes fitted when i noticed that when on boost it was all being lost to the atmosphere somewhere, great i thought, just what i need. It was like the BOV was constantly dumping all the boost.

Anway, after i got to Hyper and had the brakes fitted me and chris had a look under the bonnet to see what was the problem. As chris was checking the IC pipes i had a look at the blanking that turbofit had done on the original location for the stock BOV. had a feel around and ended up being able to stick my finger right up the samco hose and into the pipework.

The piece of wood that TF had used as a blanking plate had only been shot straight out of the hole and is probably lying on the M6 somewhere now! lol.

So a word of warning, dont use wooden parts in your engine bay as subsitutes for metalic ones! they dont work!!

Thankfully i had noticed the fact that there was wood present in the bay a while ago and ive got some nice "proper" metal bungs on order which should arrive on monday!
