;) easy peesy matey, there is a "how to do" on this site some where, but basicaly undo the 8 nuts on top of the fuel tank, undo the large plastic ring ( which will be the hardest job ) and the fuel pumps there in the tank, just take your time and will have it done in 20-30 mins ;)

Cheers

yep and you need a soldering iron and shrink wrap also. i learnt that to remove the plastic ring spray some wd40 over it and then use a flat head screw driver and tap it lightly with a hammer to get it rotating. have a towel handy to soak up the fuel spat out and try not to have lots in the tank when you do it

Not a great idea! the petrol reacts with the plastic and it can become brittle and come away leaving bare wires in a tank full of fuel! :bang:

So you need fuel resistant heat shrink - and just in case, it would be a good idea to stagger the solder points, so that even if the heat shrink came away, the bare joints wouldn't be able to touch.

Think CW can supply some suitable heat shrink.

Never understood why people cut the wires and soldered them, risking a rather large bang. Just disassemble the old and new connectors, cut the old plugs of and solder the new ones on. Put back in the new connector and seal with fuel resistant sealant (not 100% necesary as the stock connectors are open)!
