jackso11
Is this a stupid idea or would it work. Using an art air brush to spray large chips. If you rub it down, airbrush on primer, rub it down, do that a few times, then paint. would an air brush produce a thin enough layer of paint to not blend it in with a compound polish at the end? Or is this a stupid idea. Come on be brutal.
Tricky-Ricky
It all depends on the colour, if its a solid as opposed to metallic then it should be OK, but metallic can usually only be blended over large areas, otherwise it will look like poker dots. Come on be brutal. my other hobby involves 1/35 scale WW2 armour so i own 2, the problems would be you have to run quite thin paint through an airbrush which would take forever to build up a decent layer, they are for a decent one with a good spray pattern expensive (mine were £150 and £200) and take a fair bit of looking after, if you have no experience they are not easy to use, i would not even consider using one of mine for touch up you would get better results with a touch up paint pen or aerosols
