Chris and Alana
I'v got my self a nice collection of brake stuff sitting in my bedroom (for a J-spec) and would like to get them on my car this weekend. I'm fitting. Goodridge Braided Lines (front and rear) 3G grooved and dimpled disks (front and rear) CW Fast Road Pads (front and rear) and filling up with 5.1 fluid. Are there any 'special tools' I'll need to fit this lot (Like wierd sized allan key's or sockets)? Also is there a walkthrough on here that explains how to change them (disk's mostly)? Thanks guy's. Pete
Get some new pins ready before starting the job, you may well end up drilling yours out. Use a hex style socket on the calliper bolts as it won't slip like the normal type sockets you get. Some rubber gloves and a tray, you don't want brake everywhere...oh, and a friend to help you re-pressure the brake lines.
colsoop
Penetrating fluid + a breaker bar Remember if the rear discs are not coming off spin them round to 6 oclock so you can see the little adjuster through the hole in the disc to wind off the handbrake shoes, this should free up the disc.
