Hello!

Newbie in the house :p

I got a '95 J.Spec Supra TwinTurbo and I am about to replace the battery this week, the one I've got is about to die and I need to replace it ASAP.

Mine is 55B24L and it looks too small!! too much room for a bigger one.

What about you guys ? does the US.Spec and J.Spec use the same battery in design ?

What's the right number which is on top of the battery ?

Hi there,

I had the same problem when i bought my car. The small battery has diffrent size lugs on it, so you will have to chage the terminals on the car, if you fit a uk spec battery. The jacket will also be too small, and the tie down clamp will also need to modified or changed for a uk one.

All this said you can buy jap spec batteries from internet sites but very expensive.

i fitted a uk toyota battery not too expensive. a few quid for a jacket, lug, and i had to make up a new ground lead.

Aaah ok!

I guess I'll have to go look up for the right tools :gallery:

Dig up old thread time!!!

So seriously, what are all the options for replacing a JSpec Battery as mine is about to die I think!

Just get a UK plus parts from Toyota and pee about with the wiring or is there anything that will fit straight in?

when I was looking they had some thing on this web site,

http://www.varta-automotive.co.uk/index2.php?p=2&s=2&content=produkte/starterbatterien/personenkraftwagen.html

you'll have to look at it a bit, but there is a direct replacement. all you need to do is find a shop that sells them!

But the UK battery is bigger and better, and if it goes again, you can just nip down to halfords and slap any old battery in.
