The new model seems very well received by the motoring press.
The interior now by all accounts sets the bench mark for quality and they go ok too.
Can't comment on the outgoing model.

I'd like the Zetec. It'd fit nicely in my Tiger. :)

ok
The zetec s only specifies the trim level.
What age car is he after and which engine?
The 2.2TDCI engine is superb, plenty of torque for overtaking.

he wants a 2000 on wards with the 2.5 v6 lump, he's not interested in diesel tbh, he seems to have his heart set on one, yeah the s is just the body kit and trim
i have had a 4x4 si mondeo for nearly eight years ,its the most reliable car i have owned
i have only had some front bushes replaced, new back box,and a new battery.
They do tend to like new front tyres though.:)

thats good nice one, the 2.5 v6 seem to go really cheap for some reason, just wondered why, thinking there might be a problem with them thats why nobody wants them!!!
My boss has just got rid of his?? 2.5 v6, very nice motor, 218 K on the clock, petrol.
I would recommend a good service history though!!!!!!!!!! I now have the new shape and yes what a car, really nice:innocent::cool: but, still early days yet:taped::D

cool
i'll make sure we have a good look over the car he's gonna buy and make sure it's fully stamped in the service book and all that cheers guys
The 2.5 V6 is a nice engine, my brother has just sold his Cougar which has the same engine. He owned it for six years, very reliable and not one problem.
This shape Mondeo came out in 2001, they're very nice cars to drive.
This model is a big improvement on the previous car.
