I have a 1990 205 gti 1.6 miami special edition which is just awesome but recently i have become more engrosed with the idea of a big jap car! I normally hate jap cars as the attitude that goes with them, specially in my area, your only worthy if you have a jap car which is awful!! Anyway i dont care i like Supras and id love to get one so i guess i kinda signed up here just to have a look around and gain some great knowledge about them before i take the leap of faith of buying one so i hope i learn a lot from you all. Guest Puddlez Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Thanks for the welcomes... not so much thanks for the comment abot my gti 205 gti enthusiats are all lovely people as i have encoutered many!! anyway the attitude probably just down here in cornwall and the lil chavs in civics thinking theyre the next best thing to a skyline... its hard to explain, would be lovely to visit somewhere where everyone enjoys anyones cars no matter what country its from. anyway ill be searching through loads on this site today see what interesting stuff i can find i cant wait to buy a supra theyre so everything... look awesome, have such presence when you turn up and they are uber quick!! Guest Puddlez Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Well actually Puddlez was given to me becuase my first car (another 205) was called puddle... not just because it leaked oil all over the place but cus i accidently called it puddle instead of puggle one night and it stuck lol... anyway a 1990 miami blue 1.6 gti, there were various special editions made and of my car there were only 300 produced and the same 300 again of the 1.9 variant, there were also sorrento green and lazer green specials but i dont go into too much detail this isnt a 205 gti owners club lol but yes as much as i deeply love my dear lil pug i think ive just out grown them and just think i need something really silly that isnt made of tin! slow_matt Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 As he said the 1.6 Miami's were produced in small numbers, the thing that set them apart is the interior as they had leather and different colour carpets etc. I've got a 1.9 205 GTi that I'm track prepping at the moment to save the soop and my wallet. As someone mentioned before more attitude is seen from chavs in small french cars. And i have to admitt that i once owned a mint K plate 205 1.9 GTI in sorrento green.
