Wez
Hey All, Anyone here used a Racelogic Performance Box. Its based on the V-Box technology and is supposed to be very accurate. http://www.performancebox.co.uk/ The V-Box mini looks like the same unit :- http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=VBOX-Products-VBOX_Mini
Pixelfill
how much is the VBox Mini Wez? I have the driftbox but no where near exercise it properly - it's a fun gadget but I'd struggle to recommend it at what it costs unless you are going to be using it a lot It's GPS logging is pretty good, and the acceleration bis are fun, but limited use on the public highways. If it's installed I tend to have it just running away logging, and displaying the speed. The Safety camera warning feature is handy but doesn't seem to be as timely as a TomTom. Wez
I dont know, I am waiting for Racelogic to email me back a price as I also like the display thats available, its a full tablet PC which I am hoping I could use as an AEM dash and mapping console as well as the VBOX display :- http://www.racelogic.co.uk/?show=VBOX-Products-Q1_Display I am interested in the track mapping, accel and decel functions. A true top speed would also be nice
Pixelfill
If it's the same principle as the Driftbox it loses the max speed every time you come to a standstill. You'll need to get the max speed from the logs after that. The accelerations are good, and there is also potential to do an on the road Power run. But in order to do this you need to accelerate hard and then coast to a standstill in Neutral - given that this is far from good for the auto box I haven't tried it yet. Looking at the VBOX mini case it looks identical to the Drift box, so I'd be interested in whether any of the VBOX additional bits can be added to the Driftbox too Mike
