supraspeed
hi peeps, before ppl ask i haven't got any pics of under the bonnet cos my supras having a complete gearbox rebuilt so i can't get at it at the moment.... n e way, when i bought my supra it was originally an N/A but now with a single turbo conversion and all the usual add-ons to go with- intercooler air filter exhaust etc... the guy i bought it off claims it was running approx 400+bhp and to be quite honest i wouldn't have thought it would be far off it as i keep up with my dads evo fq400. just wondering if anyone knows what sort of turbo would be used to generate that kind of power cos the turbo casing covers the name and is a bit rusty so i can't make out anything. n e ideas? Class One
Do you know who did the conversion. If it was turbofit, then probably a XS Power T60 turbo, which is a pretty small turbo, and much smaller than the T61 and equivalents. And please try and type without the need for text speak. Ta. Ta. ~I agree, it will be a T-60 if done by turbofit. Just post some pictures when you can mate and im sure it will be alot easier to decide. Where are you from as i would love to have a look at it. supraspeed
it was literally just imported so all modifications were annoyingly enough done in japan and the guy who sold it to me didn't really have a clue as he sold it to me for just under £7000. it was one of those moments i like to call "bought on impulse" so now i'm regretting it as i haven't got a clue what its running like and its got japanese logo's all over the engine bay which most mechanics would stay away from... i had just sold my integra type R and i saw 400bhp+ below supra and i had to have it...idiot. i live in kings langley hertfordshire mate. Class One
Who is doing the rebuild for the box? After that's done, I would recommend having it thoroughly looked at by a Supra specialist. Phoenix spring to mind and they're based in Watford so not too far from you. Mark the guy who runs the places knows his stuff, but he's not a forum minded person, but do a search and you'll find his details. You could try further afield and take it to Chris Wilson he's based in Shropshire, or Thor who are in Warwickshire, or Interpro in Bristol etc etc etc. You'll need to see what management you've got and what your map is like etc. I wouldn't run it in anger until it's been thoroughly checked over. Good luck.
