Hi all,

Had my replacement stock wheel retrimmed heres what they did. I love it. Fantastic job.......

Ill have a nice little winter project for them in a month or 2 (namely full interior overhaul)

Now can someone tell me, how the hell i get the other one off and fit this please?? is it hard?

iirc, the centre section just pulls off, then its a case of simply undoing the large nut on the steering column. Dead easy, but easier still if you remove the plastic shroud behind the steering wheel first (4 bolts, iirc, underneath)

Im confused lol, im not the brightest! What stops the steering wheel coming off then?

pull the centre bit of both steerings, have the steering straight, undo the 1 nut, steering will come of, put the new one on, straighten it, put the nut back on, click the centre bit back on, job done. yes its that simple:)

No, that has screws in the side of the wheel I believe, otherwise the front would just pop off into your face instead of splitting and allowing the bag out.

The front of the wheel is on springs for the horn tho, im worried about pulling this 2 hard,

when you put it back on just make sure the springs are in the same place, take a pic and well show you:)

3 spokes dont have the airbag as far as i know, the 4 spokes do

cheers guys , i went out and tried it on the damaged one, got ya. Just pops off once the screw below has been undone. I was just being a pussy as i didnt want to break the retrimmed one for any reason! Hehe

Facelift ones do.

Oh and don't take the nut off the middle completely when you remove it, keep it on a few turns to prevent you pulling it off and smacking your teeth out.

Fitted it, wish id left the nut on a bit as suggested lol lol , it was a tight one to get off and it through me right back in the seat and missed my nose by an inch when it came off Hehe.

Took about 15mins to fit and when for a spin after about 3 weeks of not driving.....reminded me exactly why i love the Supra!!!

My wheel was £250 all in (50 extra for Supra writing in middle) and i bought the replacement wheel off ebay for £40.

Gibson trimming are an absolute pleasure to deal with, highly recommended.
