The auto box is for an old man's car. The 6sp is more of a driver's car.

 

It's a well known fact that the ability to press a clutch pedal and move the gear lever makes you more of man and proves that you are superior to mere auto drivers.

 

Once you've got a manual TT remember to bang-on endlessly about track-days. For added effect, throw in phrases like "heel and toe" to really rub those auto drivers up the wrong way, the paupers!

I don't fancy an old boy's chances in a BPU'd Auto, but undeniably a 6sp manual is the true drivers choice.:)

 

Don't overlook the day to day practicality of an Auto though which are able to respond very well when needed on normal roads or a "boring" 1/4 strip, and the way their prices have taken a hit recently you could bag yourself quite a bargain.

personally i now prefer the auto box two hands on the wheel when cornering at 100 seems to feel safer and more in control than one ,but maybe thats me..) and dont quote me on this but im sure i read someware that thers only about 2seconds differance between a stock auto and stock manual up to a 100 ,ok tt will make a diff tho..

Yeah, the manual is 2 seconds slower ;)
